some artists sell their work as a token on another chain. when they do, the fund holds the inscribed sat here, so that the token stays the only ownable version of the work and collectors never have to work out which of two things they are buying. this page is the public record of that arrangement.
the covenant
sats held in the archive are never sold. not by us, not by anyone acting on the fund’s behalf, not under any circumstance, including the fund running out of money. the archive is not a collection and it is not an asset. it holds work that belongs to the artists who made it.
your standing right to it
every sat here is held for the artist whose work it carries. you can ask for yours back at any time, for a reason or for none, and it goes to an address you control. there is nothing to negotiate and no notice period. transfers out are recorded below with the date and the transaction, so anyone checking the record later sees the whole picture rather than a gap.
where it is held
the archive key is generated locally on a machine we control with open source tools and never touches a server. its seed phrase is written on paper and kept offline in a separate physical location. signing happens on that machine and nowhere else, and no key material ever touches a web browser or an exchange. as holdings grow this moves to multisig, and this page will say so when it does.
this is a promise backed by our word and our key management rather than by any mechanism that could stop us. that is worth saying plainly rather than dressing up. what makes it credible is that the addresses are public, the transfers are logged, and anyone can watch.

if the fund stops
the preserved work does not depend on any of this. inscribed bytes live on bitcoin and outlast the fund, this website, and every arrangement described on this page. what would need handling is the archive itself.
if the fund’s operator is unable to continue, a named person holds the instructions and backup material needed to return archived sats to their artists, and that is the only thing they are asked to do with them. if the fund winds down deliberately, every archived sat goes back to its artist before anything else happens, and the registry stays online as a static record of what was preserved. if an artist cannot be reached after real effort, their sat stays here under the same covenant rather than being sold, moved, or absorbed.
